DIGEST-FUERTE®

Digest-Fuerte® (as the name indicates) is designed as a potent digest product, as opposed to a systemic enzyme blend.

Pancreatin (for digestion):

Amylase: Breaks down starches into sugars to be utlized by the body for energy.*

Lipase: Breaks down fats.*

Protease: An enzyme that begins the process of breaking down proteins for energy.*

Papain (for digestion): An enzyme present in papaya, a tropical fruit plant. The Papain enzyme is known for breaking down proteins (meat fibers) which is why you will find papain in meat tenderizing products.*

Cellulase: An enzyme that breaks down cellulose (major component of plant cell walls). Since humans do not produce cellulase, we can only partially break down cellulose through fermentation by the flora in the intestines which greatly reduces the nutrients we can utilize.* As a result, in order to properly digest leafy greens, sprouts and herbs, we need to supplement Cellulase in our diet.*

Ox Bile: is derived from oxen (bovine) and helps supplement the liver's normal production of bile.* Bile supports normal, healthy digestion of fats and vitamins A, D, E and K while supporting proper lipase action and is an essential addition for maintaining healthy digestion.

Ginger Root Extract:  In folk remedies, Ginger Root has been used for nausea (especially nausea associated motion sickness), indigestion, gas and stomach cramps (associated with improper digestion).* It is also a wonderful herb for boosting circulation, and as a "protectant" during cold and flu season.*

Aloe Vera Gel Extract: While Aloe Vera may be more commonly known for its topical uses in various skin conditions from sunburns to eczema, the naturally occurring components of aloe vera gel can work just as well inside the body on the epithelial tissue there as it can for the skin externally.* Aloe works on membranes and surfaces and may help sooth the stomach during moments of distress.* In our Digest-Fuerte, Aloe Vera is used to help sooth the stomach discomfort associated with eating certain "stomach lining irritating" foods.*

Peppermint Leaf Powder:  In Germany, the Commission E monographs show peppermint leaf as being used avidly in a healthy digestive regiment. And, it has a long history of use in aromatherapy and folk medicine for ailments such as vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion and bloating.* And is used in our Digest-Fuerte to help sooth stomach upsets after meals.*

Cinnamon Bark Extract:  German health authorities (Commission E) do approve of cinnamon bark for mild gastrointestinal spasms, stimulating appetite and relieving indigestion.* Cinnamon Bark Extract is used in our Digest-Fuerte to calm the stomach and help relieve nausea.* As well as, to help assist the body in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels during digestive process.*

Cayenne Fruit Extract: The Cayenne pepper is a type of capsicum Annuum and is usually ground to make a powder for spices. Health benefits abound from Cayenne Fruit such as boosting the metabolism and stimulating the digestive system which is why it is being included in our Digest-Fuerte.*
